To help community members with much-needed home repairs, the City of Haltom City has created the Haltom City Neighborhood Improvement Program. Haltom City has partnered in this economic development program with The Mended Network.
This program allows The Mended Network (Mended) to do what they do best...work across our community with its volunteers to meet the needs of our homeowners. Mended helps qualifying Haltom City homeowners keep their homes in healthy and safe conditions.
Residents who are unable to meet city property maintenance codes, either due to qualifying financial or physical limitations, may be eligible to receive services from Mended volunteers.
There are numerous owner-occupied houses in Haltom City exhibiting various stages of decline. This decline has a major impact on the deterioration of the real estate property tax base throughout the city. The Mended program will address the redevelopment of existing housing stock in Haltom City and promote development within the city as a whole.
Designated funds will allow Mended to organize volunteer groups, churches, community leaders, and local businesses to participate in the renovation, clean-up, and maintenance of homes.
