Four Evening Classes During Month of October

live tobacco free tarrant countyAre you a resident of Tarrant County who wants to quit smoking? Have you tried everything to stop smoking and nothing seems to work? Has a stressful event caused you to restart smoking? Are you ready to ex­perience immediate health benefits and save money? If you answered “YES” to any of these questions this program is for you!

Tarrant County Public Health is offering a FREE Tobacco Cessation Program, Live Tobacco Free, at the Haltom City Recreation Center during the month of October.

Live Tobacco Free is a free, four-week, step-by-step plan for quitting smoking addressing four key issues.

  • Managing stress
  • Nicotine withdrawal
  • Weight control
  • Long‐term strategies for maintain­ing cessation

The program is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evenings beginning in October (10/3, 10/10, 10/17, & 10/24). You must attend by the second class, October 10th, to participate in the program. Water, snacks and quit kits will be provided. Space is limited and you must register, call 1-844-X-SMOKER (1-844-976-6537) or email: smokefree@tarrant­county.com to register.
