'17 HC Fine Arts Student Scholarship
For the first time, Haltom City will be awarding three 2017 graduating seniors who are or have been in the Fine Arts programs at Haltom High School or Shannon High School with a $500 scholarship towards their higher education goals. The application deadline is Friday, April 28, 2017, and you can find the scholarship application and instructions/requirements here.
The City of Haltom City is very proud to be able to support its local art students on their path to higher education and wants to support the arts and the students who are committed to sharing their artistic talents with their community.
In order to be eligible for the fine arts student scholarship you must:
- Reside in Haltom City and be graduating from Haltom or Shannon High School
- You must be a United States citizen and have spent at least two semesters in a fine arts program
- You plan to use the funds to attend an accredited community or four-year college or university
- Submit the application in full by the April 28th deadline.
Factors that we will also consider in addition to fine arts is leadership in school and community involvement, employment, essay submission, and financial need.
The three winning students, and their parents/guardians, will be our special guests at the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce May scholarship luncheon on Thursday, May 18th, where we will award and recognize them for their accomplishments.
